Additional Materials for Watercolor Portraits Only:
Bring your usual palette and paints. If you have not taken other watercolor classes at the Art House, please request a
watercolor materials list. Cheap Joes is the only source I have found for the American Journey paints.
Additional colors for portraits:
Raw Sienna (American Journey)
Periwinkle Blue (American Journey)
Cobalt Violet Light (Holbein)
Cobalt Violet Light Hue (Sennelier)
Perlyne Maroon (any brand)
Quinacridone Gold (Winsor Newton)
You may use either 140# (stretched) or 300# Arches Cold Pressed watercolor paper. I prefer the bright white color.
The 300# paper is great for experimenting with because you don’t have to stretch it, but it takes longer to dry.
