Classes

Every artist needs a place away from the chaos of life to relax and to call home: to spread out all of their paints and paper and just create art. I found such a place just outside the village of Vicksburg, and call it The Art House. Driving through the corn fields to the old farmhouse with its porch swing and wooden floors helps me enter into a different world where I can draw and paint and share my love of art with others.

The Art House is my working studio, so it is only open to the public Wednesdays 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. You will find art on display in a variety of media and subject matter, including landscapes, portraits, architectural scenes and stained glass.Please call ahead if you would like to visit at another time. Summer hours if different will be posted on the website.

Classes are offered in drawing, watercolor and pastels, providing a nurturing environment for students of all levels first grade through adults.

Two of my students, master gardeners Dave Middleton and Laura Winters have helped me design and plant a beautiful flower garden and a Japanese garden that offer inspiration and beauty to all who visit. The Art House gardens are a "growing" project and will continue to change with the year and the seasons.
